For the first time in weeks we have no plans this weekend. Well, no plans meaning we aren't celebrating a holiday or attending a birthday party, bbq, festival or other activity. There are other plans such as painting Jack's bed, running errands, hitting the pool and catching up around the house, but nothing big to speak of.
Next week, on the other hand, is going to be jam packed with work, a visit with a colleague who's in town for a conference, swimming lessons, mani/pedi appointments, an afternoon with my cousins who are visiting from Minnesota, packing for a weekend in Kansas and boarding the dog. We hit the road Friday and I absolutely can't wait to see our dear friends the Stoddards and the whole entire Elser clan. We'll even be in Lawrence for a day and have a play date planned for Jack (he's going to flip his lid when he finds out his precious friend Ruby will be there), a quick visit with my bestie Laura and a meal or two at our favorite spots in the old stomping ground.
