Jumping on the Bandwagon

By now, anyone who knows that this blog exists has heard our news...

Drew & I are having a baby!

And that was all the ammunition I needed to jump on the blogging bandwagon.

First, I have to give credit where credit is due. I wouldn't have even considered the world of blogging if it weren't for my sister-in-law, Abby's, blog. Sure, I'm guilty of popping into the occasional (or not-so-occasional) celebrity gossip blog. And I read our publication staff's blog here at work now and then. But until Abby, I didn't have any friends or family that were bloggers and I certainly never considered doing one myself. Since Abby & Adrian live in North Carolina our visits are fairly few and far between. I've really enjoyed being able to "watch" my nephew, Linus, grow up via her blog postings. So thanks for the inspiration, Abby!

My goal with this blog is twofold:

1. I want to chronicle my pregnancy. This is such a unique time in my life - and it might be the only chance I have to experience it. So, for selfish reasons, I want to record every little detail.

2. It's the quickest and easiest way I can think of to share pictures and stories with our family and friends from coast to coast when this baby arrives. I have a hunch there are going to be some aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, grandparents and great grandparents that are going to want updates!

So join us on this adventure...it's bound to be a bumpy ride!
