The Cure for Crabbiness

Ice Cream. It has always been my weakness. So needless to say, the famous Berkey Creamery that everyone raves about at the mere mention of Penn State University was on my list of stops while in State College. Fortunately, I didn't even have to leave my room to indulge. My four days in PA involved the following:

Wednesday - Room Service, Bittersweet Mint (the cure for crabbiness)
Thursday - Room Service, Death by Chocolate
Friday - Took the day off
Saturday - A stop at Meyer's Diary with the rest of our staff per a local superintendent's recommendation. The cows are literally right behind the little country store where they sell milk, cheese, ice cream and everything diary. I'm not exaggerating when I say we "followed our nose" to the store. In order to give a fair comparison between the 2, I ordered their version of mint chip. And my vote goes to...

Berkey Creamery. It's almost worth the $56 it would cost to have a 1/2 gallon shipped to Kansas. Almost.

And now I'm off to pack my bags and hit the sack for a 6:30 am trip to the airport. It's been an absolutely exhausting 4 days (as my extremely swollen feet prove). I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an uneventful travel day, but regardless of what happens I'm heading home. And even Berkey Creamery ice cream can't beat that!
