You can imagine the thread of "Amen, sister!" that followed. One of those comments referred to a book titled, Porn for Women. The context of her post made it clear that it wasn't really porn for women. So I googled it.
Fortunately, my hunch was right. Nothing X rated here. Just some PG photos of nice looking men doing household chores, asking for directions, listening intently and offering steamy captions such as, "As long as I have two feet to walk on, you'll never have to take out the trash."
I found it funny. I even bookmarked it as a possible gift idea for a girlfriend sometime down the road. And then it dawned on me how true it really is. I mean, you had me at "Welcome home honey, dinner is in the oven." Or how about, "Just stay in bed this morning. I'll get up with the baby." Hello...Swooning!
Now, before I get in trouble with my husband (who reads the blog now, yay!), let me make it clear that Drew does many of these things. He does the dishes nearly every night. Is no stranger to the laundry. And...wait for it...the man cleans bathrooms. Keeper. I know.
But that doesn't change the fact that a helping hand, or better yet, an unsolicited helping hand, has a certain sex appeal about it that can't be denied.
My friend was right. Sometimes, romance really is a surprise clean kitchen. And when searching for answers to the question, "what really, really gets you hot?" the women from the Cambridge Women's Pornography Cooperative who authored Porn for Women are on to something.
Am I right ladies?
