Look Out Martha

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I'm not exactly little miss crafty. I come by it honestly. (I'm talking about you, Mom.) *wink* But I gave it my best shot today and the results were, well...

FANTASTIC!

I'm almost giddy with excitement. I spent the better part of today working on a little project that I will be recreating as Christmas gifts. Likely for several of you loyal readers, in fact. Which means I can't share the project with you just yet. Which is just about killing me. But I can tell you that it turned out even better than I imagined! Woo Hoo!

The rest of the afternoon was spent prepping for Jackson's birthday party. I finalized the menu, finished making the favors, sketched out the decor and put together a mock-up of the food tables. Yes - I actually pulled out the linens, serving pieces and accessories and laid everything out. That way there are no surprises at the last minute. As I've said before, the more you have planned in advance, the less stressful things are the day of the event. And less stress means more fun! I am just dying to share the details with all of you. But again...I don't want to ruin the surprise.

This turned into a pretty anticlimactic post for you guys, didn't it! Sorry about that. You'll just have to stay tuned. There is all sorts of cuteness on the way!
