The People I Love

I finally finished a little project I've been intending to do for weeks now and am so excited to share it with you.

Unfortunately, almost all of our family lives outside of Kansas.  And while this blog is the perfect vehicle to keep them up to speed on life in Lawrence, it doesn't help Jackson learn about his relatives that we don't see very often.

Knowing how much he enjoys picture books, I came up with the idea of making a book for Jackson that includes photos of his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.  That way, he can learn the faces and names of the people we love, but don't see nearly enough.  I used Kodak Gallery (although there are many other vendors available) and "The People I Love" was born.
Jackson loves it.  His new book has become part of our bedtime routine.  We point to the pictures and say the names multiple times every night.
The funniest part is, Jackson has decided this book is called "Papa".  While he doesn't associate my Dad's photo with "Papa" 100% of the time, when he wants to read the book he brings it to me and says "Papa".  We're still working on the other names.

It was a quick and affordable little project and we've been having a lot of fun with the book.  How could we not?  It's full of all the people we love!

I love your picture book idea, but I'm not so fond of the Papa part, and not Nana. Jackson has until May 21 when I see him next to get Nana down. Can't wait to see him (and you too). It's been way..... to long.
Love Nana
