There were 3 styles to choose from in Jack's size. I grabbed the one that I liked best and attempted to put it on his head. He immediately ripped it off and said "No!" I tried hat #2 and got the same reaction. I was puzzled. Like his father, this kid loves hats; yet he had absolutely no interest in trying them on that day. I was contemplating calling the whole thing off. I mean, why spend the money if he is going to refuse to wear it? Thankfully, my mom read between the lines. She grabbed the 3rd and final hat option and said, "Is this the hat you want, Jack?" He lit up, shouted "Yeah!" and pulled the hat snugly onto his head.
21 months, but already he has a mind of his own!
