You're Welcome Warren Buffet

It all started with a recall.

These photos were taken in November of 2008.
These were taken on Sunday.
The difference was, this time we had a helper.
Why the new crib, you ask?  Recall, that's why.  Apparently, the mattress support in our old crib (the rod bars in exhibit A) can bend and cause the mattress to fold; therefore trapping a small child.  The new crib's mattress support (exhibit B) solved that problem.

Exhibit B
In typical form, we I labored over this decision.  It's not that I didn't take the potential dangers very seriously, but I did the research and the odds of our crib having a problem were minuscule.  I'll spare you the details of my decision making process (let's just say the pros and cons list was extensive) but in the end decided to make the switch.  Thanks to the good folks at Nebraska Furniture Mart, we were able to find a nearly identical crib and make the exchange mostly hassle-free (not counting the fact that we had to disassemble our old crib and rebuild the new one.)  And now we can rest easy knowing that Jackson isn't sleeping in a potentially dangerous bed every night.

But the story doesn't end there.

You better believe I was going to take advantage of this trip to Nebraska Furniture Mart!

Somehow, this little gem ended up in the truck as well.
I've had my eye on it for months now.  The fact that it was on sale was a clear sign that it needed to come home with us.  Jackson loves it, and it fits in the "Man Room" perfectly.
Wait...there's more!  I've been beating the new dishwasher drum for months, maybe even years, and my wish finally came true.  Our final purchase this weekend was a Whirlpool Gold 2300.  Who knew an appliance could be so exciting?!  It looks great in the kitchen, has some fantastic features and is just so quiet.   Shout out to my super handy hubby who saved us a service call and whole bunch of money by installing it himself.
You're welcome Warren Buffet, for once again contributing to your fortune.

Now I'm off to do dishes.
