Smartypants

Some time ago, I came across a developmental checklist for two year olds.  I try not to get too hung up on that stuff.  Every child develops at his/her own pace, yada, yada, yada.  But I would be lying if I said my chest didn't puff up a bit when I realized how many of the items on this list Jackson has already mastered, despite being just 2 months into his 2nd year.

One of the items on the list is drawing a horizontal line.  Who knew?

Here is my little guy's handiwork during an evening play session at the chalkboard.

As you can see, he not only drew a horizontal line, but also a vertical line and a circle - after I demonstrated each action first. 

What a smartypants!
