Friday night we experienced another first for our little family of three. The Douglas County Fair. It was everything you would expect a fair to be and then some: petting zoo, ponies, carnival rides, games, prizes, music and food. And we did it all.
Jackson wasn't as into the petting zoo (he loved the animals but didn't want to touch them) or ponies (he refused a ride) as I expected him to be. But once he rode his first carnival ride the little guy was hooked. He absolutely loved it!
Drew & I were both snapping pictures on our cell phones, so here's a look at all the fun.
| Whew...just tall enough! |
| Getting strapped into his very first carnival ride. |
| The motorcycles. |
| Yep. He loves it. |
| Carousel with Daddy. |
| Carousel with Mommy. |
| Another ride. ATV's. |
| Mmmmm...corn dog! |
| What's a carnival without a funnel cake? |
| There's nothing sexier than a man with a monkey backpack. |
It really was one of the most fun family outings we've had in a long time. We'll be back next year for sure!

Oh fun! We do the fair here, too. Is that a Skip Hop backpack? Gray has the elephant!

Steph! Feeling giddy that you stopped by. I adore your blog. Sometimes I forget that we don't actually know each other in real life! :) And yes on the backpack - love the Skip Hop line!
Looks like a lot of fun and agree...love the backpack! :-)
