Abby lives in North Carolina, but fortunately her family was planning a quick visit to Kansas in early October. We took advantage of the opportunity and got all the girls in the Elser/Bartel family together to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby Girl Bartel.
It was a small group so I did my best to keep things simple. The theme was sprinkles (of course) with a rainbow color scheme - which ties into Abby's plans for the nursery. So without further adieu:
Invitations
I wanted the invitations and party printables to coordinate exactly with the theme, so I just designed them myself in PowerPoint (clearly, I'm no graphic designer!).
Decorations
The decorations were simple. Nothing more than card stock in rainbow colors and a 2" circle punch. Those circles were then used as garland, table decor and a homemade mobile for the nursery.
The "What a Beautiful Mess" print was on Abby's wish list and served as a perfect accessory to the dessert buffet as well as a gift for her to take home.
More cardstock served as placemats, straw flags were personalized to serve as placecards and a simple bunch of baby's breath was the centerpiece.
Food
Baked Potato Soup and Candied Walnut Salad were on the lunch menu. Both easy to prepare in advance, quick to serve and tasty, too! But the real fun was the dessert buffet.
Sprinkles, sprinkles everywhere!
Jackson & I had a great time making Dipped Pretzels, Sugar Cookies, Oreo Pops and Rice Krispie Treats with sprinkles galore! Cami's Cake Co. gets credit for the beautiful vanilla cake.
Favors
As favors, guests were able to take home a bakery box filled with treats from the dessert buffet.
Fun
To help fill the time, each guest completed a Wishes for Baby sheet that I clipped together with a binder ring. The sentiments were so sweet and maybe someday the little peanut will read and enjoy them as well.
A Onesie Decorating station was also set up. Nothing more than a little fusible webbing, some fabric scraps and an iron.
Talk about creative! The results were absolutely darling.
Of course, there was also a sprinkling of gifts for the mom-to-be!
And that, my friends, is a baby sprinkle.
Abby, I hope you enjoyed the celebration as much as I enjoyed hosting it. This Auntie absolutely can't wait to meet little Miss E. Bartel!
