The first clothespin to find it's way into the bucket was Run Through the Sprinklers. Jack had this one covered a few weeks ago and it's been almost a nightly occurrence ever since.
Last week was especially productive as we knocked 2 more things off the list in back-to-back days.
First was a trip to the Outdoor Aquatic Center to take advantage of $2 Tuesdays. Yep, just $2 to enter after 6:00 pm. Jack is young enough that he's still free, so it was a perfect opportunity to visit the outdoor pool for the first time this year. I was anxious to see if he would have as much fun at home as he did during our trip to Iowa. And he did! It was worth every penny of the $2 - all 200 of them. We will definitely be doing a lot more swimming this summer!
And so into the bucket went the Go to the Swimming Pool clothespin.
The very next night there was a Concert in South Park. And not just any concert, the Children's Concert! So we loaded up our lawn chairs, stopped at Sonic for ice cream cones and headed to the park. Jack had a great time clapping along, dancing and even pretending to be the conductor. I'm pretty sure he was also an extra source of entertainment for the folks seated around us. About mid-way through Aunt Kate and Cousin Attia joined us - just in time for the annual children's march around the gazebo.

And so into the bucket went the Concert in the Park clothespin.
Next week is the 4th of July, so I have a feeling Fireworks and Make Homemade Ice Cream will be at the bottom of the bucket soon. And we're very close to being finished with the Library Summer Reading Program, too.
There are still lots of big things left on the list, like ballgames and trips to the zoo, museum, family fun zone, Lego Land and more. Who knows if we'll get through it all, but we're sure going to have fun trying!
