You may remember this post. I was breaking the pregnancy news to Drew and indicated he might not be purchasing a new set of golf clubs, after all. Well, he got 'em. Yesterday, his first set of custom made golf clubs, Mizuno MP57's, arrived. And because we are able to order them through our club pro shop, they were quite a bit less expensive than the going retail rate. To say he is excited would be the understatement of the year!
The reason this purchase is post worthy? Drew has assured me that this is the set of clubs that will carry him through the foreseeable future. (Although, I seem to remember hearing that when he bought his Cleveland irons just 3 years ago.) He is convinced they will be the key to achieving a single digit handicap. And with baby on the way, he is fully aware that this could be his last big-ticket "toy" purchase for quite some time.
This post will simply serve as a gentle reminder of that should it be required one day! (wink)
