It was a perfect girls day. My best friend Cortney is in town so I scheduled a vacation day so we could spend some quality time together. We spent the day doing all of our favorite things: eating, talking and shopping! She came over this morning and we hung out at the house for a couple of hours before heading down to Mass St. After hitting our favorite stores, we had lunch at my current favorite place, Ingredient. After lunch we headed back to the house and spent the afternoon just visiting - it's so nice to talk face to face instead of via cell phone! We talked work, friends, family, baby and everything in between. It was awesome. For dinner, we headed to another of our favorites, Free State Brewery. Mostly for the out of this world artichoke dip, but the rest of their food is pretty fabulous too. I'm always sad when my best friends heads back home to Washington, DC but this time goodbye wasn't quite so hard. In just 2 weeks we'll be together again for a quick girls weekend in Boston. I'm sure we'll manage to eat, shop and talk our way through that town, too!
It was also a girlie day for Ruby. She had her quarterly appointment at her favorite spa, Pawsh Wash this evening. She had a wash, blow dry and style as well as a pedicure. Not only is she shiny and clean, she smells marvelous too! And to top it off, when her daddy picked her up he bought her a new collar. A pink KU collar - perfect for our little Laboradiva.
