Lazy, Yet Productive

I love days like today. It was lazy, yet productive at the same time.
  • Read an entire book (Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult)
  • Sorted and started laundry - Drew kept it going the rest of the afternoon (He's a keeper!)
  • Cleaned the house - which really means vacuumed and dusted. I'm a bit compulsive about keeping the house clean so it's never exactly "messy". I just get some sort of weird thrill out of vacuum marks on the carpet and the scent of fresh cleaning and a burning candle. I did save the bathrooms for Drew though, he does those. (Told you I got a keeper!)
  • Ran errands at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Kohls and Target
  • Watched the end of the golf tournament with Drew
  • Made banana bread
  • I've just selected book #2 to begin shortly - Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen

Speaking of books. Now that I'm back to reading, I've added a new feature to the blog. Check out the right hand column to see the books I'm currently reading. (This is for you, Nik!)

In baby news, I'm more and more convinced that I am indeed feeling movement. It happens daily now. The tiniest little flutter or tapping sensation. I'll spare you the details, but I've had a lot of stomach issues over the years and this is unlike any sensation I've ever experienced. I can't wait for Drew to be able to feel it too, but selfishly, I'm kind of enjoying this little gift I get every day. It brings a smile to my face every time. My baby, a little combo of Drew & I, reminding me he/she's there. And for now, it's just our little secret. Of course, I'll probably change my tune in a few months when I'm being kicked in the bladder and punched in the ribs!
