Hand-Me-Down Heaven

Perhaps the best part about being one of the last of your friends and family to have a baby are the hand-me-downs that become available. Drew & I have purchased no more than 6-8 items for our little guy, yet thanks to our friends and colleagues we have a dresser and closet full of baby clothes.

Today, we struck gold. My in-laws stopped by on their way home from KCI after having spent Thanksgiving in North Carolina. They brought back with them an entire suitcase full of baby clothes from my sister-in-law. My favorite nephew, Linus, is quite the sharp dresser and has graciously shared his newborn clothes with his cousin-to-be. We now have an entire laundry basket full of clothes to add to our collection. And when the clothes are size 0-3 months it takes an awful lot of them to fill a laundry basket! Check it out...

Now if only we had a baby to dress in all these clothes!

Abby...thank you, thank you, thank you! I plan to label them all tomorrow as I put them away so I don't lose track of where they came from in case you need them again some day. And as our little guy outgrows his clothes we will certainly pay it forward and pass on the hand-me-down love!
