It really was the best Christmas ever.
For the first time, Drew & I stayed put and all of our family came to us. Of course, originally this was planned because I was supposed to be VERY pregnant. But Jackson had other plans and in the end this was even better.
We started celebrating on the 23rd when Cortnery arrived in town. Then Drew's folks came to visit for the evening. I did something completely out of character and ordered carryout for our Christmas meal (compliments of Gram & Gramps). In fact, we ate out of the plastic containers it came in! While that's not my usual standard of entertaining, I have to say it was absoultey perfect. Good company, good food and absolutely zero effort. Can't beat that!
The celebrating continued on the 24th when the Wagner side (minus Matt who we missed terribly) arrived and Papa and Nikki met Jackson for the first time. Christmas Day brought a visit from Santa - his first stop at our house! - lots of presents and a scrumptious meal of prime rib and crab legs.
As for Jackson, I'm not sure he was ever put down through the entire holiday weekend!
Here we are, our first Christmas as a family of 3. This one will be hard to beat!
