We've had quite a week!
Monday & Tuesday were Drew's first full days back at work so it was just Jack and I for the first time since coming home. I have to say, he's a pretty fun guy to hang out with!
Mommy has finally learned to put him down when he's sleeping (instead of just cuddling all day!) and was actually able to be productive during nap times. I got some laundry done, cleaned up the office, put away Christmas gifts, paid bills and even took a shower. I was quite proud of myself. Of course, when Jack is awake it is all about him. Most of the time he's eating, but his awake periods are a bit longer now. We see a lot more of his eyes these days! We've been reading books, singing songs (he loves to be sung to sleep) and even tried out his play mat for the first time. He also took bath #2 - which was pretty much a carbon copy of bath #1. Still not a fan.

Drew is home again for the rest of the week, so he was on Daddy duty this morning while I ran errands and stocked up on groceries. Then we tried out Jackson's swing and while he is still a bit small for it, he promptly fell asleep after just a few swings. I see lots of nap times next to Daddy's chair in the future!
No big New Year's plans for the Elser family other than cheering for the Jayhawks in the Insight Bowl this evening. Just a low key night at home with our new family of 3...can't beat that.
