Happy New Year to the Elsers, from the Neary's!
Thank you Heidi for keeping this blog. It is so fun going to the computer and seeing what is new on the Elser 411.
Jackson is so cute and looks like he is growing every day!
Question: How is Ruby doing with this new baby that came into his home and stole some of his masters attention? :)
Glad to hear that Jackson is doing well with breast feeding. That has to make you feel great!
Well keep posting and we'll keep reading. It is so fun keeping up with your week to week experiences as a new mother and even brings back memories for us mom's that are WAY past baby stages. Trust me you have lots of really fun moments to look forward to in the world of motherhood.
Love you,
Aunt Mary
Mary,
Thanks for the note. I'm so glad you're following along on this journey with us!
To answer your question, Ruby has been a real trooper. While we were still in the hospital Drew brought home one of Jack's blankets to introduce his scent to Ruby. Mom said she carried it around the house the entire time we were gone! It's like she somehow knew it was important. When we brought him home we made sure to give Ruby lots of attention too and Drew continues her usual routine of walks in the morning so her life hasn't really been disrupted. At first she was quite curious and wanted to smell and lick him a lot, but she was never aggressive at all. I think she's getting used to him now. She's not nearly as curious. Just likes a quick sniff every now and then. And she's not a fan when he cries or fusses. She gives us a look that says "aren't you going to do something about that?" I think the 2 of them are going to be great friends. Especially when Jack starts tossing food her way!
