Phase 1 of "Operation: Jackson's First Birthday" is complete.

The invitations are in the mail.

I have to say, I'm pretty excited about them. I've been thinking about this party for weeks months now. I've tossed around countless ideas for decor, menu, entertainment, favors, etc. One might even go so far as to say I've become obsessed with all things 1st birthday. (That's what happens when you are a type A, anal retentive, perfectionist - who happens to plan meetings/events for a living.)

Inspiration boards are exactly what you think they are: a collage of all of the elements that you have been inspired by and want to bring to life in your event. I find them incredibly helpful.
