Baby's First Haircut

I've been on the fence regarding Jackson's first haircut for a few weeks now.  He was dangerously close to sporting a full fledged baby mullet.  But I hated to part with those adorable blond curls that once cut, will likely never return.

Due to an ultimatum from my husband (who announced he would not be getting a haircut until Jack got one) and an unexpected day off (Miss Holly had to attend a funeral and was closed for the day) an opportunity presented itself.

We made plans to meet at Beauty Brands where both boys would get haircuts followed by a family lunch date at the Country Club.

Here is the before pic as we headed out the door.
And here are some action shots.

Jack held remarkably still (by his standards anyway) and wasn't the least bit afraid. Tavey was excited to meet him (she's been cutting Drew's hair for years and does my manis and pedis) and did a great job.

I kept one of the curls. I suppose I'll stick it in a keepsake box somewhere (which seems a bit silly to me, but I guess it's the thing to do.)

And so it's done.  One more milestone to check off the list as my baby turns into a little boy.

And what a handsome little boy he is!
