Boom! Crack! Pow! ...WHOA!

Was the 4th of July really a whole week ago?

Nana & Papa Wags were in town for the holiday and we sure loved having them here.  In fact, for several days after they left, Jackson would wander into the guest room looking for "Na-Na" and "Ba-Pa".  It was a fairly short visit, but we filled the weekend full of activities.

There was extreme Mega Bloks tower building.
Bean box playing.
And a trip to the Country Club.
There was cooking.

And a lovely 4th of July dinner.

Followed by homemade ice cream, which earned Jackson's approval with an "mmm..." following every. single. bite.
Of course, there were also fireworks.  Just a small sampling of snappers, tanks, race cars, snakes and black cats.  Jack loved them.  All of them.

Here he is experiencing his first full pack of black cats.  He watched in awe and when the silence resumed he looked at me wide eyed and proclaimed, "Whoa!".  He then raced back to the garage and pointed at the pile requesting more.
.
Thanks for coming Mom & Dad.  It was certainly a Happy 4th of July!

Your Welcome Heidi,
We had a great time. I think it just makes me miss my grandson (and of course you and Drew too) even more. Can't wait for Okaboji

I can't wait for Okoboji either. I feel like I know Jack so well thanks to this blog.
