Accessorizing

These days, we are hard pressed to get Jackson to go anywhere without his hat and boots.  You already know the story of the hat.  The boots; however, were purchased nearly a year ago.  I stumbled upon the famous green frog rain boots on mega sale at Vincent Shoes (totally awesome kid shoes by the way) and bought the only size available - knowing he would likely be 3 or 4 years old before they would actually fit.

Recently, he spotted the boots on the top shelf of his closet and has been obsessed with them ever since.

When we got home this evening, the neighbor boy was mowing their lawn.  Jack loves lawn mowers and went to the window in his bedroom to watch the activity outside.  I left him alone while I changed out of my work clothes.  Upon returning to his room, I saw that he had taken it upon himself to replace his tennis shoes with the ever popular boots.  He also found his Jayhawk hat and put that on as well, backwards of course.
And then everything was right in the world.
