Two

Dear Jackson,

I can't believe how quickly the past year has gone.  Right before my eyes you have changed from a young toddler who relied on Daddy and me for everything, to a little boy with a mind and personality of his own.

You are talking up a storm.  A new word or phrase comes out of your month every day, it seems.  You absolutely crack us up.

You have a kind heart.  You say "bless you" when someone sneezes, ask "Mommy OK?" when I cough, and are bothered any time someone has an owie.

You are starting to test your boundaries.  You know exactly what you want and won't hesitate to throw a foot stomping, object throwing tantrum if you don't get your way.  (You get this from your Daddy.)  Time outs are a regular occurrence.

Your favorite toys are trucks, tractors and all of your balls and sports equipment.  You love to "shoot hoops" with Daddy and run races back and forth across the basement.  You're not much of a TV watcher, but enjoy the Micky Mouse Clubhouse cartoon and, believe it or not, football and sportscenter.  (Again, just like Daddy.)

I wish I could put into words the joy you have brought to your Daddy and me.  You make the bad days good, the tough times easier and the best moments even greater.  You are my proudest accomplishment.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Monkey.

I Love You.

Mommy
