Treading Water

I've got lots to write about.

An absolutely fabulous Thanksgiving in Denver.
A myriad of holiday activities coming up.
Jackson's third birthday.  OMG.  My baby is THREE.
Bedtime.

But my work schedule is beyond insane right now.  And by the time we get home from work, eat and clean up dinner, play for a bit, bathe the child and go through the bedtime routine battle I just don't have much gas left in my tank.

I read this post today about working moms from one of my favorite blogs, MOM-101, and it couldn't have been more timely.  In Liz's words, "It’s just like you’re all always reminding me; it’s not what I’m doing when I’m not home, its what I’m doing when I am. Kids don’t remember the hole, they remember the donut."

Thanks for that, Liz.

So I will surge ahead, make as many check marks on the to-do list as I can, try not to sweat the small stuff, and most importantly enjoy every minute I have at home with my favorite boys in the whole world.

I just might not blog about it on a very timely basis.
