Life at the Elser house has certainly been busy the past week (hence the lack of blog activity) and it's about to get busier. Over the next 40 days I will be visiting 4 states (Missouri, Florida, Colorado and Iowa) and spending a total of 18 nights somewhere other than my own bed. So yeah, lots going on.
But what's kept me burning the midnight oil the past week is a pretty major home improvement project that we're right in the midst of. And oh my gosh it is so awesome I can hardly wait to be done and show you guys the big reveal.
Here's a hint.
It's not exactly difficult or back breaking work, but it's tedious. And time consuming. And I'm really, really ready to be done. But you know what they say: if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. So I'm trying to be patient and stay the course. With all of our upcoming travels it may be a while before we're totally done, but you'll be the first to know when we are.
Bear with me if the blog posts are a bit sporadic the next few weeks. There's no shortage of stories to tell, just not enough hours in the day. I'll get you caught up soon, I promise.
In the meantime, hope you are all having a fabulous summer. We're doing our best not to melt here in Kansas as the triple digit days are seemingly endless. We're expecting a "cool front" later this week - which means it might actually get down to the low 90's. Lucky us!

Also, tell Jack I can hardly wait to have our Gram and Jack weekend.
