Family Portrait

While doing some drawing recently, I sketched a stick person (which is pretty much the extent of my artistic ability, although I do draw a pretty mean Mickey Mouse head if I do say so myself) and asked Jackson if he could make a person, too.

Much to my surprise, he was able to replicate it quite well.
"It's you, Mom!" he said.  And he even wanted to add eyes.

So I encouraged him to keep going and add the rest of our family.  Which he did.
Totally awesome, right?!

Then he had another idea.

He started with a circle.  Chuckled a few times.  Added a straight line.  And then shouted, "It's your butt!"

And indeed it was.

I'm not sure if I should be concerned that the thought to draw a butt even occurred to him (or more specifically, MY butt), or proud that it actually does kind of look like a butt.  In any case...

Here is the first ever Elser Family Portrait as drawn by Jackson at age 3.75.

Dad, Mom, Jack and the Butt.

I'll never forget the time Nathan drew a picture of our family and I had two circles under my head. They were my boobs! It gets better and better, just wait! LOL!
