At our last pediatrician visit, we were given a list of activities that are age appropriate for a 1-2 month old. It included reading, singing, soft plush toys, mobiles and playing peek-a-boo. We were already doing all of those things except for peek-a-boo (which I was surprised was on the list at this age) and the mobile. Sure enough, shortly after our appointment Jackson started becoming fascinated with our ceiling fans. I quickly searched the web for mobiles and found exactly what I wanted. In fact, our date night trip to Babies R Us was primarily to pick up said mobile; unfortunately, it was not in stock. I ordered it online instead and it arrived today.
We haven't had a chance to try it out for too long, but he did seem quite taken with it. I'm anxious to see if it becomes a favorite.
PS - Don't worry. The stuffed animals and bumper pad will come out of the crib once he starts using it unsupervised.

Jackson's new mobile was shown on Big Love Sunday night....Margene was putting her newest baby to bed. Deb
Drew and I could have made a mobile for Jackson. I've got an old Simplex derailleur an antique ball glove and lots of color full water bottles!
